Powhiri (Welcome) or Performance for your Event or Conference
A “Powhiri” is our traditional welcome and is based on our protocols of hosting guests and welcoming them to our tribal lands. As tangata whenua (people of the land) we would be delighted to formally welcome you. Experiencing another culture can be interesting and informative but we want to leave you excited, impressed and satisfied you chose to experience our style of Māori Culture.
When we entertain, we are real. We express ourselves so that you can feel our “ihi” our magnetism. It is our pleasure to entertain and entice your senses in a way that is educational, informative and enlivening.

Cultural Walk to Huka Falls
Take a walk to this iconic NZ/Aotearoa location with our local Māori guide “Snow” who grew up in this area. He will share stories and information with you. From a karakia (prayer/chant) to explaining the name “Huka” or a local legend of first discovery. Snow is one of the few locals who can tell you the “real” stories.
Guided Walks by booking only.

Māori Weaving Workshop
Māori weave for creativity and pleasure as well as to keep our traditional weaving skills alive.
Because harakeke provides for many uses including the carrying of food, clothing, binding of waka, and for medicinal purposes it became a very important resource with strict protocols (tikanga) to be aware of particularly when harvesting the leaves.
A weaving workshop is a 3-hour session, the time allows for a small kete (basket) to be created and dyed as a take-home taonga (treasure).
3 hours from $99 per person

Tutoring and Kakahu
It is one stop haka shop!
As we are in the business of “haka” we can offer the opportunity to create specialised performing kakahu/ensemble and kit to groups. We produce traditional resources such as muka for weavers, and tutoring resources to support kapa haka tutors who teach at school age level. Ask us, we are happy to discuss your specific needs with you.
What makes us special is our philosophy to interact & relate with you on a local level that you will enjoy!
We will not leave things to chance; like a war party, you will be challenged, intimidated and eventually welcomed into the bosom of our culture. In a short space of time, your senses will be stretched and excited by our dynamic energy.
